Chile and Corn Muffins

My favorite meal that I don’t make near often enough as of the past few years, is a big pot of Chile and plenty of sweet and buttery corn muffins. Corn bread is nice but the muffins are just something that I’ve been raised on.

This is such an easy meal to prepare, the Chile comes in a package, you only need to add the hamburger and the kidney beans. The corn muffins come in a box as well, needing only a bit of water and an egg. Just remember to have plenty of soft butter on hand for when the come out of the oven.

Wayne’s World - A Classic

Wayne’s World has got to be in the top 50 of some one’s list some where I would imagine, I don’t have time or the patience for even a grocery or a chore list, I can’t imagine taking the time to actually sit and think and then take pen to hand and actually create a list of favorite movies, albums (CD’s I should type) entertainers and the like. But being a product of the media as I am, I am aware that there are people that make their living making such lists, what a cushy job that must be!

Anyway, Mike Myers and Dana Carvey really made an impression with Wayne’s World and Wayne’s World 2, which is airing right now as I type, or attempting to anyways. I’m thinking of looking to see if I can find online somewhere these two movies that I would really like to add to my ever growing movie collection.  A collection that I enjoy over and over and am always on the look out for more to add to it and enjoy.

Old Spice & Avon’s Brute

My grandmother has sent me my annual Christmas present that is always containing a nice bath and body kit that is either Old Spice or Avon’s Brute. This year she surprised me and sent me a sausage and cheese package by Hickory Farm, what is up with that?

I don’t mind the cologne’s that she has been sending me for so many years, both are good choices, tried and true, but the sudden change into processed meat and cheese just floors me and I’m afraid to ask any questions, one never knows what will come out of this old gal’s mouth these past few years.

Where are all of the Flashlights?

Why is it that when I find myself truly in need of a good working flashlight that I can not put my hands on one to save my soul. I know that I have a half a dozen flashlights, of every shape, color and size, I see them all the time here and there throughout the house all the time.

What I don’t do is make sure that they are working and that they have good batteries in them, so when a crisis happens I find myself searching and stressing out working my way around the house with a Bic lighter that gets very hot very quickly and don’t always work very well.

Looks like I am going to purchase myself a few flashlights here in the near future, and plenty of back up batteries to fit them all, I really could have used one last night after I blew the fuse in the basement when I plugged in the Christmas tree lights.

A 47 inch Flat Screen Would Do The Trick Nicely Enough

Every year I get an email from my mother asking me what I want for Christmas, this isn’t always an easy task, most years I settle for a gift cards or a “Beer Of The Month” for the following year type of membership that is always fun and entertaining all year through.

Oh how I would love to reply to her my truest wish, which would be a nice new Flat Screen HD 42 inch television, that would fit right nicely in my living room, thank you very much!

Too bad I don’t come from a family that is rolling in cash right now, this economy is hitting each and everyone of us in so many ways, it is a real lousy time for all of this to happen and is effecting so many holiday plans and celebration this year.

Oh yeah, I asked mom for a new pair of bedroom slippers and a carton of cigarettes.
